Get ready and be mesmerized….the K-Pop fever is on with BtoB this March!
It is confirmed, a very reliable source said Gololy.ph. In celebration of the Korea-Philippine Friendship Day, the Korean community in the country is mounting a concert entitled Reaching Out For Love (The Concert), bannered by one of Korea’s popular K-Pop groups BtoB, along with NCT Dreams and other K-Pop groups, and some local artists, this coming March 26, 2018, at the MOA (Mall of Asia) Arena in Pasay. As of this writing, three other Korean bands will join the celebration. The local artists invited to participate the said event are still be confirmed soon.
According to their Wikipedia profile, BtoB (Born to Beat) was formed in 2012 under the management of Cube Entertainment. The group’s debut EP was Born to Beat and was released April of the same year. But they only released their first full-length album Complete June of 2015. But in 2014, they rose to Asian fame when they released their Japanese debut song “Wow” and has reached more than 35 million views (music video) on YouTube as of today. Other popular songs the have recorded include “We Go Up,” “Missing You,” and “Movie.” So far, they have released two albums.
In a span of five years, BtoB received several awards and citations, including Singer of the Year 2015 by KBS Music Festival, Best Vocal Group Award at the 30th Golden Disc Awards, and Ballad Award at the 25th Seoul Music Awards. Last August, 2018, the group released their digital single “When It Rains” composed by Hyunsik.
Briefly, let’s meet the members of BtoB: Eunkwang, 28 (Nov. 11, 1990), lead singer/main vocalist; Minhyuk, 28 (Nov. 29, 1990), lead rapper/lead dancer/vocalist; Changsub, 27 (Feb. 26, 1991), lead vocalist; Hyunsik, 26 (March 7, 1992), main dancer/lead vocalist; Peniel, 25 (March 10, 1993), lead rapper/vocalist; Ilhon, 24 (Oct. 4, 1994), main rapper/vocalist; and, Sungjae, 23 (May 2, 1995), lead vocalist and the Face of the Group, he plays the acoustic guitar and the bass.
