Mitoy Yonting (founder and lead vocalist), Mylo Yonting (rhythm guitar and co-founder), Edwin Garcia (keyboards), Jerome “Lucky” Reformano (bass), Jude Santos (drums) and Cesar Uy Salazar (lead guitars) make up The Draybers, one of the most enduring pop rock bands in the country today.
It all started in 2008. Six musicians were struggling for something catchy to name their group which was ready to compete for a local battle of the bands competition. Eventually they settled for the name The Draybers.
A decade later, the band is now a three-time ALIW Awardee and Hall of Famer. Among Manila’s music enthusiasts, it is popularly known that the band’s front man is The Voice of the Philippines grand champion of 2013, Mitoy Yonting. And to celebrate a decade of their music in the concert scene, they will stage their 10th anniversary concert at the Newport Performing Arts Theater on October 30.
Known for the band’s soulful renditions of Air Supply, Queen, Survivor, Journey, and Bon Jovi songs among others, The Draybers has toured internationally for Filipino communities and is one of the most sought after live acts today. In 2011, The Draybers started a journey that saw them at Resorts World Manila’s (RWM) Bar 360 stage where they landed a long term contract. Such opportunity paved the way to claim a three-time ALIW awardee for Best Performers in a Lounge, Bar, Hotel in 2012, 2013, and 2017.
