Always performing with a supremely consistent clean falsetto every time he rendered his song, he was then dubbed as the Falsetto Prince and became the dark horse of Team Sarah.
A product of The Voice Teens Philippines (2017), 19-year old Bryan Chong is slowly conquering the music scene and fulfilling his dream as a singer-performer. Born with a gifted talent to perform, he credits his fearless stage presence with his experience.
“Music is a dream. It’s what I love to do to escape from a playful reality, an escape from our judgmental world, an escape from the words ‘you can’t do it, there’s nothing good in your voice.’ You’ll end up nothing with singing because it’s not a real job,” he said.
Also a song writer, Bryan was only five when he began to show his singing ability. The first song he learned was “Nano” from the Japanese candy commercial. He grew up with his foreign step father, Jake Long and his Filipina mother, Merilyn Forneste, who was a former singer in South Korea.
At the age of fourteen, Bryan’s family left Quezon city and moved to Lucena (Quezon Province). And that’s where his singing exposure started. Even before he joined The Voice Teens Philippines, he’s been invited to sing in various mall shows. His first mall show was in Pacific Mall where Enrique Gil was a guest performer. Since then, there was no stopping to this young performer. More singing engagements came, including a series of mall shows with celebrities like Alexa Ilacad, Nadine Lustre, James Reid, Nash Aguas, Kim Chiu, to name a few.
After he was seen performing on a primetime TV magazine show, concert producers and artist managers Vince Apostol of Star Image Artist Management, and David Cabawatan of Aqueous Entertainment, immediately contacted the singer and let him signed up with a three-year contract under the duo’s career management.
After Bryan’s journey on The Voice Teens Philippines where he showcased his undeniable talent, he eventually got endorsements and guesting. Now, he is ready to perform and make history on the concert stage. And everyone is invited! He will be having his first major concert entitled PRINCE OF SOUL on May 12, 2018 at the Music Museum.
Directed by Ms. Ona Lara Unico and with Macky Ricafort as the musical director, the concert is produced by Aqueous Entertainment and co-presented by Star Image Artist Management. Performing with Bryan as his guestsk, include, The Voice Season 2 Grand Champion Jason Dy, Hip-Hop Prince John Roa, Rap Royalty from X Factor UK Elysa V, Revival King Jojo Mendrez, and Pop and EDM Princess Kara Mitzki. Let us all witness the greatest show as Bryan Chong sings his heart from his soulful voice.
