In just a couple of days, the new Miss Universe will be crowned. In the past few days, more than 90 candidates all over the world gathered in Las Vegas to compete for the illustrious title. As the contest drew to its final leg, preliminary competitions have been underway to provide the organizers and judges to the girls more up-close-and-personal and choose the right girl to wear the crown.

The Philippines bet for this year’s Miss Universe is 26-year old Rachel Peters, born in Bahrain with a British father (Nigel Peters), and Fillipina mother (Annie Obregon). This half British-half Filipina graduated from a British International School in Phuket, Thailand, with a degree in business, tourism and events. She first joined Miss World Philippines in 2014 and placed 4th runner-up. April of this year, she joined Binibining Pilipinas and was crowned Miss Universe-Philippines 2017. She’s now representing the country in the ongoing Miss Universe 2017 pageant. She’s under the guidance of pageant trainer, Rodgil Flores of KF (Kagandahang Flores).
